July 10 - 28, 12:00 - 3:30 PM
How do the neighborhoods where we live, work, or go to school effect our daily lives? Learn how to think strategically about this question and propose responses during this three-week apprenticeship program. Go on field trips to local neighbor- hoods and work with practicing architects, community historians, and developers to take a practical look at Pittsburgh environments undergoing transformation. Take an active role in the process by learning to apply design thinking to real-world challenges. Develop technical design skills and knowledge about cities and what it takes to make them work for all residents.
This camp is in partnership with the Carnegie Mellon University School of Architecture, and is sponsored by the Pittsburgh Foundation and The Sprout Fund. Campers will meet at the Courtyard Entrance to the museum each morning.
